Description of Responsibilities:

Assist with Manhole testing, air tests on a water utility line, and core drilling and walk-behind concrete sawing.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Required Skills:
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.  Current Driver’s License required.
  • Follow direction given by multiple people
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to use an iPad and iPhone.
Required Experience:

3-5 years

Physical Demands:

Work requires the ability to lift 50 to 75 pounds independently and be able to perform physical labor up to 10 hours a day. Work requires the ability to exert 50 to 100 pounds of force frequently. Also requires frequent bending, squatting, standing, reaching, climbing, kneeling, stooping, crawling, and sitting.

Material and Equipment Directly Used: Must be able to operate a variety of machinery and equipment such as computers, forklifts, power tools, and hand tools.

Pipelayer


Position Type:

Description of Responsibilities:

Responsible for assembling, connecting, and constructing pipe systems for storm or sanitation sewers, drains, and water mains. Ensures ground is prepped and trenches dug out for pipes. Aligns pipes and seals joints together with cement or glue. Performs all duties associated with laying pipe, working with other members of the construction crew to successfully complete projects within specifications and in a quality manner to meet or exceed customer expectations.  Maintaining the work areas in a clean, safe, and orderly manner on a continuous basis.  Must be able to follow building plans or blueprints and instructions from supervisors, lay out the job, and work efficiently with the materials and tools required for the job.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Required Skills:
  • Configure pipe routes.
  • Align pipes in pipeline sections.
  • Dig trenches with trenching tools.
  • Slide pipe into trenches.
  • Insert spaces in between pipes.
  • Pull out defective or misaligned pipes.
  • Correct alignments.
  • Inspect places where pipes are fitted together to ensure pipes are spaced out properly and according to specifications.
  • Lay pipe for storm or sanitation sewers, drains, and water mains.
  • Grade trenches or culverts.
  • Rigging pipe for hoisting
  • Seal joints.
  • Use glue or welding equipment to ensure pipes are tightly fitted.
  • Ensure pipes are fitted and aligned using grade rods or transit levels.
  • Cover pipes with dirt or other material.
  • Drill holes into pipes for auxiliary lines.
  • OSHA safety training and a current First Aid and CPR certificate.

Water Truck Driver


Position Type:

Full Time

Pay Range:

$18.00-$27.00 per hour Non-exempt

Location:

Centennial, CO; Colorado Springs, CO; Ft Lupton, CO

Description of Responsibilities:

Drive a water truck with a capacity of 3,000 gallons, to transport water to and from specified destinations. Responsible for loading trucks either from a water tower or from a designated source.  Responsible for applying water to the construction area either for dust control or to help achieve compaction of construction materials. Must maintain truck log according to state and federal regulations.  Responsible for daily inspection of truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

None

Required Skills:
  • The ability to comprehend and follow directions.
  • Interpersonal competencies include a drive for results, the need for closure, effective oral communication skills, organization, planning, trust, respect, being dependable, and cooperation.
  • Ability to drive water truck with caution on the project site.  The ability not to hurt other employees or damage materials of the job site while driving.
Required Experience:

1 Year

Physical Demands:
  • Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and stand to operate and repair heavy equipment.
  • Must be able to lift to 75 pounds at times.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The employee is exposed to a variety of extreme weather conditions at construction job sites.
  • The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

Field Laborer

Description of Responsibilities:

Laborer provides support and assists other field operations. The role of the Laborer includes manual labor, as well as assisting other trades to the extent necessary with hands-on work.  Activities may include loading trucks, clearing debris, moving products, and cleaning up areas around the job sites.

Required Skills:
  • Must be physically fit to perform manual labor in all types of environments and conditions, including heavy lifting (more than 50 lbs.).
  • The ability to comprehend and follow specific instructions.
